My name is Joe Paban and I'm an Atlanta based photographer specializing in ambient light architectural interiors photography and 360 degree interactive virtual tours for Internet and/or print use.

Ambient light photography means that I shoot using the available light in the space. As a photographer my aim is to create interior images that convey the designers intent of what the room "actually" looks like and at the same time create a well designed image that stands on it's own in addition to capturing the "feel" of the space. I attempt to choose an angle that brings the viewer into the space rather than creating a lifeless flatly lit "record" of the room like.

The human eye adjust to different levels of light as you look around a room, whereas the camera sees everything the same. I shoot a series of exposures that capture the full range of light levels and then digitally combine the images to produce a well balanced and natural looking image that shows what the space actually looks and *feels* like.

The 360 interactive virtual tours are unsurpassed in their ability to show off any facility and really give the viewers a sense of having experienced the space. The 360 panoramas also make very dynamic and impressive prints. There are many folks doing 360 virtual tours but generally they are only camera operators using gadgetry and gimmicks that produce inferior results. I bring extensive digital expertise, sensitivity and background in architectural and fine art photography making my virtual tours unique and a cut above what is found in the market.
